ANDREW WEATHERALL

Andrew WeatherallThere are few in the music world who can claim to have a better CV than Andrew Weatherall. Resident DJ at two of the first acid house clubs, Shoom and Spectrum, alongside Danny Rampling and Paul Oakenfold, many also credit him for starting the Madchester scene with his cutting edge production of bands like Happy Mondays, New Order, James and Primal Scream.  At this stage, Weatherall was the most in-demand producer and DJ in the world. While others would have revelled in the euphoria and public acclaim, Andrew Weatherall shunned the limelight and publicity, distancing himself from the mainstream dance scene. Going back to his punk roots he subsequently recorded with Keith Tenniswood as the Two Lone Swordsmen, while maintaining his output through various alternatives projects. 2009 was another amazing year for Mr Weatherall. His self-titled album, 'A Pox on The Pioneer's' and his production work with F**K Buttons were both massive critical successes. It looks like Andrew Weatherall will stay at the top for some time to come.
